SCAMPER


 Substitute: Sticker instead of a magnet.














Combine: It combines a torch light and a SOS alarm.


















Adapt: A modern looking chair.



















Modify: A fan without blades.

Eliminate: The blade was removed.













 Put into other use: A tree decoration used as a lighting.



















Rearrange: Change the lighting of the phone to suit up the phone style.













Name one thing that you have learnt from the designs that you have seen in the Red Dot Museum.

It is simple but yet hard to make these ideas come through a person's mind.


Take a picture of the design(s) that your group likes most and explain how it relates to the project that your group will be working on.


We are currently working on the security of bicycles and this product covers the locks as well as how does it help to improve the security of the bicycles. This locks are small, portable, light and strong to prevent future thieves from stealing the bikes again.

              Substitute: Plastic cups for a forest
Combine: different shapes of containers to make trees etc. 















Adapt:Made smaller and is a coffee and oven to fit in small houses.
Rearrange:The oven and coffee maker are rearranged in this metal box.

















Modify:Red ring modified to support a motocycle
Eliminate: Eliminate space and resources to 
support the motocycle.
Put to other use: Plastic is constructed to support motocycle.













We like this the most as it has a lot of functions and is well thought of. We are making a locker to contain stuff when in the toilet and i think this will be our concept; to have many compartments in a single basic metal box.

Rearrange- 'Branches' Can be rearranged to persons liking.

Simple designs can be beautiful

Take a picture of the design(s) that your group likes most and explain how it relates to the project that your group will be working on.

Prevents Motorcycle from falling to the side or rolling down a hill when not looked after. Our concept of the Portable Road bump is that it slows down vehicles so there is a bigger time frame for the child to move out of the vehicles way.

The PVC bottles are used to create a forest and a art piece instead of their function of holding food 



S:Substitute 
The lamp stand in this case has been substituted  by the paper structure  


E:Eliminate

The clock hands has been eliminated by the flashing alphabets





Combine & Modify 

The chair can be combined with the stool to form a lounge chair and can be detached to form a high rise chair.It is combined with the shape of the diamond. It is a one piece chair(one chasis) instead of many other chairs. 

Modify.
It is slightly curved to enhance the look of privacy and security

The lights has adapted the shape of the trees


R : Rearrange 

This is a baby washing tub. The tub lines are curved and bent and the support is at the bottom instead of the top.

It is ok to be unconventional but the products must be easy to use and functional

The chair's shape enhances privacy and is functional and user friendly.  This is a great platform for us to work on as our problem overlaps the coverage of privacy and security
